Drop in a save and get the leaderboard: every player nation's population, tax base, armies, coats of arms, a political map and the blood ledger. It all runs in this page — your save is never uploaded.
EU V normally packs its saves into a private binary format. Debug mode makes it write plain text instead, which is what this page reads.
-debug_mode.-debug_mode afterwards — it disables achievements while it's on.No. This is a static page; the save is read by your own browser, in a background thread, and the report is built on your machine. Close the tab and it's gone. The only network requests are for this page, its fonts, and the built-in flag and map data it downloads from this site.
The built-in data comes from the game version each save records, when there's a pack for it, and otherwise from the newest one — currently EU V 1.3.11. Every report says which version it used, next to the save's own version.
Any current Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari. The interactive map needs WebGL, which every current browser has; without it the report shows a still image of the map. Recent saves only works in Chrome and Edge.
Choosing a folder with the button always shows that prompt in Chrome, even when, as here, the page only reads a few files locally. Dragging the folder in skips it. You can check: this page makes no network requests while building a report (open your browser's developer tools → Network).
In Chrome and Edge, saves you choose or drop are listed so you can rebuild with one click. The browser keeps a private reference to each file, in this browser only — never the file itself or its contents, and never on a server. It will ask permission again on a new visit, and a save that has been overwritten (an autosave, say) opens in its latest state. Use × or Clear to forget them.
Give the page two or more debug-mode saves from the same campaign: pick or drop them together, tick them in Recent saves and press Compare, or build one report and use Add a save to compare. The newest save becomes the report; the others add an Over time section with a chart per figure and a table of changes, and the standings can show each figure's change. Nations are followed through tag changes (Castile becoming Spain, say). Even a single save charts population, tax base and economic base year by year, because the game keeps that history. Download data keeps every save's numbers, so next time you can drop that file plus your newest save.
Generate link saves the report as a secret gist on your GitHub account and gives you a short link.
Anyone with it sees the report as you had it laid out, without any upload controls, and needs no account.
Secret gists are unlisted, not password-protected: anyone who gets the link can open it. Sharing the same
campaign again updates the same link. It needs a GitHub token with only the gist permission,
kept in this browser if you choose and only ever sent to GitHub. Delete a link by deleting the gist at
gist.github.com.
Download report saves one self-contained HTML file you can send to anyone — it opens in any browser with nothing to install. Download data saves the extracted numbers as JSON; drop that file back on this page later to rebuild the report without the save.
The save wasn't written in debug mode. Follow the steps above, then load and re-save it in-game.
A readable save's first bytes are SAV0200; a packed one starts SAV0203.
